Our Technology

The UV LED light included in YouV packaging and YouV’s unique fluorescent sunscreen formula allows you to see where you apply sunscreen and where you need to reapply. For best results, use the black light to examine your sunscreen coverage 30 minutes before exposure inside. The light is most effective indoors, but can also be used in shade. When using the light, blue areas indicate sunscreen coverage, while a faint purple indicates no sunscreen protection.

How to Use

Shake well before use and apply liberally 15 minutes before sun exposure. Use YouV’s black light to check your sunscreen application while indoors or in the shade. Do not shine the black light directly into your eyes. Reapply at least every two hours, after swimming, sweating or immediately after towel drying. For children under 6 years old, ask a doctor.

Spending time in the sun increases your risk of skin cancer and early skin aging. To decrease the risk, regularly use a sunscreen with broad spectrum SPF or 15 or higher and other such protection measures including: limit time in the sun, especially from 10 a.m. - 2pm, wear long-sleeved shirts, pants, hats, and sunglasses.
